The brief: a Mickey and Minnie fifth birthday
Jiyah's family wanted a Mickey and Minnie Mouse birthday party that felt joined up from the moment guests walked in to the last song on the dance floor. Every printed piece had to carry the same pink, lilac and classic Disney look, and much of it had to be personalised for Jiyah. The party needed:
- Show stopping printed party backdrops for photos, with Jiyah's name front and centre
- Welcome boards to greet guests at the door
- A dance floor kids would never forget
- Printed fascias to dress the buffet counter and the DJ booth
Personalised canvas party backdrops
We printed two kids party backdrops on UV Blackback Textile (Canvas) on our 3.2m Liyu roll to roll printer. The first is a soft pink Minnie Mouse photo backdrop, tiled with Mickey and Minnie characters and finished with a Mickey head name panel reading "Jiyah turns Five". The second is a dreamy watercolour Mickey and Minnie backdrop with a hand lettered script, perfect as the main photo wall for the party room. The blackback canvas blocks light from behind, so the colours stay rich and even in every photo.
Foamex and correx welcome boards
Guests were welcomed by printed Minnie Mouse welcome signs reading "Welcome to Jiyah's Birthday", printed on foamex and correx boards on our Fuji UV flatbed. Rigid, light and sharp, they stand proudly on an easel at the entrance and set the theme before anyone reaches the party room.
A custom Mickey head shaped dance floor
The star of the night was a dance floor in the shape of Mickey's iconic head, printed with a glowing disco tile design. We printed it on white dance floor sheets on our Fuji UV flatbed, then cut it to its custom shape on our Zund digital cutter for clean, crisp curves around both ears. Buffet counter fascias and a printed DJ booth
To carry the theme all the way round the room, we printed buffet counter fascia panels lined with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto, turning a plain hotel counter into part of the party. The DJ booth got the same treatment with a bold pop art Minnie Mouse print, so even the music corner was on theme.
The result
A Mickey and Minnie Mouse kids party where every printed piece matched, from the welcome board to the dance floor.
