The brief
When new owners took over the practice, they wanted patients to feel the change the moment they walked in. The brief was to breathe new life into the space, symbolise the new owners moving in and keep every detail inside the new Marlow Valley Smiles brand guidelines.
It was meant to be a temporary facelift, not a full refit, so every idea had to work hard.

A smaller desk, a bigger room
The old reception desk was eating far too much of the waiting area. We took it out and replaced it with a smaller desk in a different spot, which instantly opened up the room and made it feel bigger and brighter.
The new desk was clad in ACM board printed with the Marlow Valley Smiles branding, so the logo greets every patient at the counter.

Walls that look brand new
Years of knocks and scuffs had left their mark. Rather than replastering and repainting, we covered the old walls in one piece vinyls that hid every knock and blemish in one go. The wall coverings were finished with beading to cover the joins, for a neat, built in look.
A feature wall in Marlow Valley Smiles blue
For the wow moment, we created a feature wall in the Marlow Valley Smiles blue using canvas. On top, the logo and name float off the wall in 3D signage cut from matt gold acrylic, catching the light and giving the waiting room a calm, premium feel.

A new face outside
Outside, we replaced the old signage with a brand new tray sign carrying the Marlow Valley Smiles branding, so the change starts before patients even reach the door.
We finished the front with frosted vinyl on the entrance door and the bay window. The door carries the Marlow Valley Smiles logo and name in an etched glass look, and the windows give patients privacy while still letting the daylight in.
The result
A practice that looks and feels brand new, fully on brand inside and out. It was planned as a temporary makeover, but the new owners liked it so much they have decided to keep it.
