The brief
Brightsun Travel started in Soho in 1986 with three staff and a single typewriter. Forty years on, with offices across the UK, Ireland, the UAE and India, it was time for a party worthy of the journey: a ruby red celebration in the ballroom at the InterContinental on Park Lane.
The print had to carry the anniversary from the red carpet to the dance floor, look rich under red and gold lighting, and turn up in every photo of the night.
A red carpet welcome, twice over
Guests arrived to two printed media walls. The first was a striking black and gold anniversary wall, with Brightsun lettering in gold and a laurel “40 Years” emblem at its heart, framed by red feathers, flowers and candlelight. The second was a crisp white step and repeat carrying Brightsun alongside its partner brands, perfect for the photo queue.

A bar in Brightsun red
In the reception space, a rectangular bar was wrapped edge to edge in Brightsun red, with the “Celebrating 40 Years” logo on every side. Under the ruby ceiling lighting it became the glowing centrepiece of the room before guests even reached the ballroom.
One identity on stage
On stage, a red printed lectern gave the anniversary speeches a branded setting, sitting right in front of the band’s kit and the giant screens telling the Brightsun story. Later, the party moved to a matching red DJ booth carrying the Brightsun logo against deep red drapes, so the brand stayed in the spotlight from the first speech to the final track.
The result
A night the Brightsun team said was executed to perfection, with print that tied the welcome, the bar and the stage together into one ruby and gold celebration of forty years.
